Happy Friday everyone!

I awoke today to find that the lovely Nicole Holm from the gorgeous blog Love is Deer awarded The Blue Room the One Lovely Blog award - thank you Nicole!

When I decided to start this blog it really was just a place for me to keep all the things I find beautiful, but I have found the whole blogging world very inspiring and it's great to know there are so many other people who love the same things I do.

I always read any comments left and try to reply when I can, so if you ever have an idea or suggestions please let me know....

Seven things about me....

I am fascinated by stars and could look at them for hours....

One day I want to write a novel - and have it published of course....

I am a New Zealander, living in Australia and wanting to see more of the world - does anyone have places they recommend?....

I like to read books twice....

My favourite season is summer....

I became interested in blogs while I was doing journalism and would spend probably too much time looking at them - calling it research however as I wrote for the fashion page....

My favourite time of the day is dusk - when the light is at its most beautiful....
