Lunch on a Spring Day

One of my favourite things about Spring time is being able to once again eat alfresco style. This soup topped with chives on top looks amazing and I love the light blue bowl it is served in.

In No Rush

If I woke up to this, I'd be in no rush to leave.

A Weekend Wine Down Snack....

We had some friends over on Friday for some drinks and nibbles. As I live with a bit of a MasterChef husband, it's not often I create whatever I like in the kitchen - so I took the opportunity while he was at work to put my own twist on these salmon treats.

A 3pm Treat....

I'm about to walk to the shop to stock up on some fresh fruit, salad and veges.

It has been so hot here that any fresh fruit has to be eaten within a couple of days - it just won't last much longer than that.

But like most other people I know I quite like a little afternoon treat and this box of Macaroons caught my attention - probably because they look so pretty.

And if I don't find any Macaroons then summer fruit will be just as good.

Summer on a Plate.....

As the sun sinks into the Indian Ocean,

And the sky ignites on fire,

Birds sing out their goodnight ballad,

Into dusk the moon creeps higher,

Preparing a salmon and peach salad,

For a summer sunset dinner,

Margaret River wine to top it off,

It's sure to be a winner.
