A Spring Kitchen

It's so nice to be able to enjoy some alfresco dining with the warmer weather and I absolutely love this cute little Spring kitchen. Decorated with pink and white it also has sky lights to let the sun shine through - it's a perfect place to prepare food and drinks for friends and family while making the most of the garden and enjoying the sunny days x

Shelter

A little place of shelter surrounded by ocean, sand and sea salt spray. When the sun is beating down, take shelter in the shade. And when it's raining out at sea, take shelter under cover.

Awash in White

Unusual little details always give a home great character. When a home has understated quirks it has a subtle impact yet adds to the overall beauty. For example, I love this home with the layered ceiling which has been cut away to let natural light in. The small lights placed along the wall compliment the small bench for books and the use of white everywhere instead of the ever popular feature wall, perfectly balance this space. Another detail I love which is shown below include steps throughout a home to create different levels and dimensions.

Living in a Castle

This medieval castle in Italy has been transformed into an amazing home which reflects its rich history but still offers some modern luxuries. It would be quite nice to be able to invite friends back to your castle wouldn't it?

In No Rush

If I woke up to this, I'd be in no rush to leave.

A Sunday Retreat

I hope everyone has had a great weekend. I came across these pictures and thought a place like this would make a perfect Sunday retreat.

The Lakehouse

I'm not sure where this is but it looks just like the many gorgeous houses you see around the lake in Queenstown, NZ. It's been so long since I've been in Queenstown, looking at this picture makes me want to go back and visit the stunning NZ scenery.

Home Inspiration: Natural Wonder

Imagine living in a home where nature outside becomes part of the house itself. Nothing too fussy needs to be added to the interior, because it's simply beautiful and comfortable just as it is.

Staying In....

Why is it when you've had a long weekend it's always so much harder to get up and go to work when it's over? I would much rather get spend the day by the fire like this one and finish reading my book.

Costal Living....

How amazing is this home on the coast of South Africa? I love the open plan living areas and use of muted tones throughout to compliment the natural surroundings of the rocky coastline. What a view to wake up to every morning....

Natural Elements....

Indoor / outdoor living is the best way to make the most of a nice climate. I love the way these images show the many different ways to bring the natural beauty of the outdoors into the comfort of the home....

A Summer Room....

Although it's the first day of Autumn, or Fall as the lovely folks in America say, it is still so hot here where I am in Australia.

I've just been for a swim before sunset, and upon returning home leaving a trail of sand behind me I've decided my future house will have an outdoor shower....maybe with a plunge pool as well...
